A collaboration between the Australian painter Adam Fenikowski (www.adamfenikowski.com) and me which was sold on my last exhibition in Kensington. Curators and Gallerist liked the idea so much that Adam and I are preparing a show with 12 co-works between us which will also be shown in Germany. Like it or not... but it is new :-)

i always find it hard to comment on this kind of "abstract" art! either an idea hits you right away, or it doesn't, and when it doesn't, everything you try to say anyway will seem forced and untrue! this may sound lame, but my very first associations had to do with a poem – don't worry, not my own! ; )) –, so when after those lines had popped up in my head, i couldn't think of anything else, i decided to just put them here. well, you probably know them anyway… : )) greetings, sabine.
The Tiger
(by William Blake)
Tiger, Tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?
And what shoulder and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart? 10
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand and what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? What dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears,
And water'd heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee?
Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
Yes, my first association was with this poem by Blake but that could be because this poem always crosses my mind whenever I see or hear the word "tiger":))
So much going on in this collage of painting and photography. Interesting, no doubt. Yes, I think I like it. Bw, Viola
As always, I am trying to explain
a strange picture to myself.
Here, I see lots of things, but mainly
something out of "Yellow Submarine",
and some "Tiger Balm".
All in all: well done.
