Der Djemaa El Fna ist der zentrale Marktplatz in Marrakesch. Er berauscht alle Sinne.
Jeden Abend wird der Platz von tausenden Menschen bevölkert, die
am wilden Treiben mit Gauklern und Schlangenbeschwörern, Vorlesern, Wahrsagerinnen sowie Künstlern und Musikern teilhaben wollen. Die Garküchen verbreiten eine olfaktorische Note und auch das Licht trägt seinen Anteil zum Gesamteindruck bei.
