Taken inside Zion National Park in a place called the Narrows, Utah, USA. Cannot say enough about this incredible place. This is the kind of place you could go every single day and always come back with stunning images. For this shot, what first attracted my eye was the contrast between the green trees and the canyon walls. Nature's color palette at it's best. To get the right angle I had to be knee deep in the cold water with my camera firmly attached to my tripod. The hardest part was not to get any drops of water splashing in my lens.
Great colors and atmosphere. Did you edit the colors, there are some parts (left in the water which seems a bit artificially. Maybe we should open a new fc for you and Sergio :-)
The palette of colors is indeed fabulous. Zion National Park: reminds me of Michael Fatali who lives there and does a lot of 4x5" pictures. You might know him.
You have started off with some amazing pictures here and your website holds more promisses... I'm very glad to see this quality in the fc and for sure many with me. Very inspiring to keep me going on the long path to reach a higher level in my own work.
Greetings, Robert
Just an amazing shot and I absolutely love it (but the trees are just too green for me, were they touched up? if so maybe less would make it a better photo)
Beautiful though, one of my favorite places on this earth that Ive seen so far
I find this as well in many ways a stunning image, fantastic colours.
I have only 1 thing which i find disturbing and that is the flow of water. In the whole picture it works great, only in the front i find the effect a bit too much, resulting in "killing" the depth which in the rest of the picture is so very well present.

Oh yes this is absolutely beautiful ... I do see what Ruud means .. the FG effect seems larger and more exaggurated than the background - I almost wish the image would continue toward the bottom but getting larger in a natural progression whereas the effect at the bottom is large and overwhelming and somewhat more abstract .. but I will still happily vote a resounding PRO for this image - I would love to have this in my portfolio ;0) Regards, Paul.
Hey, a debate about the FG... IMHO the boulder at the bottom gives a solid base to the composition and the blue area forms a good "resting point" for the eye, as opposed to the rest of the image, which has a lot more detail. To me that's a strong point in this picture. I like it that way.
Greetings, Robert
I love this place more than anything, and am so sad that I didnt have a good camera or the knowledge of photography that I have now when I was there.
But congradulations to your great shot. You deserved this gallery star.

Por la composición y la tecnica. Es una foto realmente bella. Merece estar en la galeria a mi parecer.
