Reaching for the sky

A view of a dead tree in Eco Park. This used to be an Acacia of some sorts, but sometimes, during our winters they get killed by black frost.

For my friends who are up to their ears in snow, I hope this cheers you up a bit

: )))) it sure does, deryck! and it gets me just a little bit envious ; ))… "black frost" does sound very viscious and mean, though – a very apt name, too, it seems, judging from that very black look of the dead acacia! a beautiful shot deryck! the maginificent cloudscape does remind me of all our snow, though – wish me and "my" bunny were up to our ears in clouds rather than snow ; ))… lg, sabine.

Well composed landscape capture with a wonderful silhouetted presentation of the tree under a great sky.
The dead tree might be an ideal biotop for fungi growth.

Through your lens it seems, as if the tree nearly is reaching the sky. A wonderful landscape, lovely colours.

Indeed, the branches are reaching for te sky. Composition-wise I am not really excited......the plant in te lower left forground distracts me a little bit. Nice sky....good midday sot
