Namibia:Coastal region near Luderitz
The coastal region along the Namib coast hardly ever gets rain, sometimes up to 10 years and then very minimal. And yet the desert lives,succulents derive their moisture from the inflow of fog.

Der Regen an dem Kuestenstreifen der Namib ist minimal und doch lebt die Wueste.Viele Sukkulenten überleben weil der Nebel die Feuchtigkeit spendet.

with the drops covering their surface they look like the tails of (very fragile ; )) rattlesnakes! a great shot of a kind of succulent, i've never seen before! i agree with adele: what a great range of colors! and i like how you managed to give depth to the picture, even though they grow so close to the ground! kind regards, sabine.

Great close-up. Strange as it is this could be a picture of molecular structures. I would not have suspected so various colors in the succulents.

Liebe Cathy!
Das kenne ich von den Käfern,wie ich es im TV sehen kann.Hier ist ein Fehler beim scharf stellen passiert,Du hast es auf der linken Seite gemacht,es soll aber das ganze Foto scharf sein,ich gehe meist bei solch einem Foto etwas weiter zurück und zoome alles so nahe es möglich ist,Du hast dafür ja ein Variozoom,wie hier das 70-180 aber hier ist die Brennweite zu hoch,besser wäre ein Variozoom mit 18-105( 16-85 wie ich) oder ähnlich,weil Du damit mehr machen kannst,vor allem bei einem Foto wie oben.Liebe Grüsse Günther

Im ersten Moment könnte man es für gerissene Perlenketten halten, beim näheren Betrachten und auch dank Deiner Beschreibung, erkennt man um was da geht.
Toll mit den Tropfen, die zarten Farben gefallen uns.
