Der Berliner Hauptbahnhof ist der größte Turmbahnhof Europas und wichtigster Eisenbahnknoten Berlins. Nach den Hauptbahnhöfen von Hamburg, Frankfurt (Main) und München ist er mit etwa 300.000 Fahrgästen täglich der viertgrößte Personenbahnhof Deutschlands. An seiner Stelle im Ortsteil Moabit des Bezirks Mitte befanden sich zuvor von 1868 bis 1951 der Lehrter Bahnhof und von 1882 bis 2002 der Lehrter Stadtbahnhof.
