an image that makes me think of basho's famous frog haiku. the low point of view potentiates the immediacy here: i feel like a frog in water-lily paradise, blissfully noticing the plashing sounds i myself am producing, while my amphibian legs powerfully part the water. presently, i will choose a leaf to occupy to take a short rest from swimming – voilà: there it is!
