The Monastery Valley which is 4 km. Length and starts 2km southwest of Güzelyurt district of Aksaray, looks like very much like Ihlara Valley with its engraved churches into the rocks reaching to the sky and with its nature.

When you see such places around the world I always wonder as to what drove them to build there is such remote places ?Again thank you for sharing these wonderful images of places I am unlikely ever to visit

an almost pastoral scene with the shepherd and his cattle peacefull grazing (the cattle, n ot the shepherd ; )!!) among the trees and boulders, protected from all "outside harm" by the imposing wall of rocks – i bet there's lots of legends, stories and myths about this place, too! great shot again! hugs, sabine.Montse T.S., 3.12.2010 at 11:29h

What am impressing scenery - wonderful the view into the distance to the hill with the little houses there! It's fine with the cows and it's shepard - so I can see how high these rocks are!!! Great editing too--
