Sorry.

I saw some pictures of this Photographer last week, my first impression was WOW, but at a closer look I noticed that the main reason was the saturation and the adding of colors by using filters, in my view the use of the saturation and filters is to overdone, in this picture on the right the sky never looks that blue in the flat (oversaturated) way it is shown here.
Bob, what you are doing here is spoiling this discussion by accusing a certain person here. Stop it!
for colour saturation, overdone or not, there is always one thing that counts, and that is personal taste. Would you propose that members of the team are not allowed to have their own personal taste? would you want members of the team not to take part in voting? Not to write comments on photos outside the voting? Not to upload their own photos and put them into discussion? Where do you want to end that????
Take it or leave it, I personally think that it is okay to have multiple accounts if one likes to divide his works, upload more pics and so on, whether to vote with them is a different story.
Okay, now since I felt forced to also destroy the photographic discussion here, I would like to get back to the photo and say:
SKIP
and for this time, I will not explain myself why, because I feel it is not wanted.
I don't mind "oversaturated" photos if it done in the "right way" My personal opinion is that the red on the boat enhance the boat and the placement of the boat in the compo. I do have some problem with the right part of the sky, contra the left part. I'm talking about the blue parts. As it is now for me, the sky and the boat/ground is fighting for my attention and its ends up with that i don't know what to look at.
I skip on this one.
My first thought too was : to much saturation. I don't mean the red in the boat, that could be a stylistic device or the green grass, but another point is the sky, which looks very unnatural on the right side over the bridge.
The sky was that colour, for those that think it is OVER saturated i recommend you take a look at your monitors calibration carefully and am willing to bet you are looking at this image on a cheap LCD.
The bridge is two colours because it has only been half painted, very simple really and it has been like that for years.
It looks wondeful in print and i am more than happy to send the RAW file to anyone that is interested.
Many, many thanks to everyone that took the time to view and comment on this photo.

I could have suggested almost any of Simon's photos, they are all excellent. This one for the composition, colour, light and sheer beauty. Please comment with your vote
