As you drive westwards along the north coast and approach the historic town of Stanley you’ll see The Nut, a huge flat-topped circular headland that dominates the town. It’s 152 metres high, with a path and a chairlift to the top. Up there you can take a bracing walk around the edge and enjoy the wind in your face, the sun on your back and wonderful views up and down the coast.
Have a nice day all guys. ;-)
cheers, R.
Great shot of the "nut" I like this one much better than the one you have in gallery the foreground interest does it for me ;) this is what was missing for me !
Here again the nut.. always so great but I think I prefer the other one, strong, too strong ( ?) light on grasses here stop my eyes.. and the nut doesn't seem so beautiful in portrait presentation .. matter of taste, of course, because I see Peter and Dave's comment just opposite ! ciao Radim, Véronique
Superb foreground interest with wonderful textures and light, very strong composition with the diagonals of the shore and grass leading the viewers eye in and then the focal point of the Nut itself. Excellent photograph, would love to see a larger version.
