This is another of the Gull pictures i did, i think the exposure is better than "I can read" but i'm not so sure it is as funny, would like to know what you all think as one hopefully will go into my portfolio for college! Thanks to everyone, for your coments, it really does help me, sometimes things i would never have thought of.

I think your comment is spot on Donna, the exposure is better on this one but the other is funnier.
Good shot though.

Tom McDade, 27.11.2006 at 12:32h

Stu is right the exposure is great on this one. can you not tweek the other in photoshop to bring out the contrast a bit more. Its a shame not to get the best out of a great photo.

Jutta Washington, 27.11.2006 at 19:37h

The exposure is much better on this one. Very good composed.

Tony (Anthony) Rowell, 27.11.2006 at 19:40h

Great captured shot composed nicely and great shallow DOF .

Cor van den Doel, 27.11.2006 at 20:23h

What a shot! :-)
Well captured and composed.

I love both!
This one for the quality, the other for the fun factor.

Tony Jury, 28.11.2006 at 7:31h

This picture has the best photographic quality of the two and is maybe worthy of your college portfolio. Imho college's usually look for strong communcation though a picture as much as the photographic technique. So your choice.

Yes I think I prefer this one too. My first thought when I saw it was what the gull was thinking, "oh no, I've left my wallet at home" but thats my SOH..have a great day Donna..cheers..Rob

I think it is a beautiful capture of old Nelson.
I also love the sign regarding slippery landing stage.
Best wishes Donna.

I like the smooth colors, the composition (subject shifted from the center) ... and it's relly funny ! Great idea well fullfilled.

DaDe Jelmini, 5.02.2007 at 23:17h

beautiful colors, clarity and very fresh....

Jim McKinniss, 8.02.2007 at 1:50h

I like this image as well and maybe better than the "I Can Read" image. This has good composition which is also simpler than the other image and the colors are quite pleasing.

The large white area at the lower left is a bit distracting, however.

FREDRICK ADAM, 11.03.2007 at 15:06h

DOF, bokeh, colors, composition, all very nice!
Regards from Cape Canaveral... F.A.
