River of gold

This is a picture of the well-known salmon river and waterfall Målselvfossen in Northern Norway. In the old days, lords from Great Britain used to come here for fishing. Today the pool below the waterfall is rented by one of Norway's richest businessmen.

This picture is taken with a Nikon D200 camera, a Nikkor AI 20mm f/3.5 lens, and a Hoya R72 infrared filter. Exposure time was 30 seconds, the aperture f/8 and ISO 400. White balance was preset on some green foliage. Post-processing was done entirely in Capture NX2.
