this tree is rumoured to have been struck by lightning, i don't know if this is true or not, but, i thought it was unusual and was a framing opportunity for the building.
this is Dallam Hall at Milnthorpe, Cumbria, in the southern Lake District.

Great scenery
The tree is quite remarkable, of course
Overall, beautifully done

Like the old saying that even the worst of us can at least be used as a good example of a bad example, so this old tree can (and is) used to show what Mother Nature can do. I really like the way you've portrayed the manor under it's wing.

Lightning tree or hangmans tree every town and villiage has one !
But this is a beauty and with that building to back it up its a winner.
Great picture.

According to its look the tree could have been struck by lighting......but if it did not happen, looks good and does give a real good frame to this beautiful photo.
