During our trip to the Lowveld, Anlie and I spent a day in the Kruger National Park. We came across a family of monkeys in the road. These two were sharing a locust while the other little ones were playing on the road and the trees. They were a huge pleasure to watch

what a tender scene! not for the locust, of course! ; )) so sweet how the mom (?) gently allows her young to pull the leggy bodypart ; )) – yum! – out of her mouth, so that they can enjoy a simultaneous culinary delight! the color of their coat – a cool gray and white rather than brownish… – looks beautiful and special! a very moving capture!! greetings, sabine. p.s.: so cute how the bigger one's tail is snaking its way towards the camera. and the fragile little fingers of the little one – so human! – make me accept them as my kin! ; ))

I'm wondering how near you really were and what focal length you used. I would be too much a craven to take such a close-up

Not really the "The Day of the Locust",
but the apes and a great snapshot.
