The animals in the park have become more and more trusting with me. A number of Bontebok were standing in a group when I decided to see how close I could get to them. The alpha male once charged me so I was very careful.
The Bontebok have a way of blowing, similar to what a horse does. As I come closer, they blow and they shake their heads downwards. So I decided to do same. Everytime I blow, they acknowledge. I slowly took a couple of steps forward and started the process all over. I came as close as 10m from them. Then this female started approaching me in a non-threatening way. I decide I could not trust her and slowly backed up to the car
