Riding the Chair - Lift (2)

getting closer to the top of 2181m high Whistler Mountain - and don't think I was not a bit nervous in this open unprotected chair and the vastness behind us :-)))

tell me about it!! i would have been a nervous wreck by now, i think. i have vivid memories of sessellifts ; ) in bavaria as a child, of always loving the ride but being increasingly alarmed, when spotting the end with its turning wheel mechanism in the distance, knowing full well that in a few seconds i would have to gracefully jump off, or else i'd be going back down again – alone! – and, if worst comes to worst, dangling upside-down from its safety bar by the hood of my jacket… ; ) desperate, i cling to the splotch of color – buoyant green! – amidst all the unrelenting gray of the rock, for hope! ; )) hugs and here we go: hop off NOW!! ; ) sabine
