A floatplane has landed in Mansons Landing on Cortes Island ... one can only get here by floatplane or boat ... Island Life

If you look closely you can see that the pilot is smiling and waving at me - I did not notice this until I checked my camera.

NOT EDITED - taken into very bright light

: ))))))) i love it when shots hold precious little "postoperative" surprises!! ; )) i once took a picture of a white fence and a giant balloon in a downtown blue sky, which i'd intended to name "urban stilllife". when i looked at it on the computer, though, i noticed a meddlesome sparrow who'd postured himself on the fence, right in the center of attention and facing directly into the lense… bye-bye, still life… ; )) love all the turquoises and whites in this shot: they make the airplane blend in perfectly with its surroundings, so that it's at one with both the water and the coastline! hugs, sabine.
