8 days on Saltspring Island house sitting - lots of rain and grey skies, but I did get a few photos. I took this one in the harbour of Ganges, the largest settlement on the island.

Located between Mainland British Columbia and Vancouver Island, Saltspring Island is the most frequently visited of the Gulf Islands as well as the most populous, with a population of about 10,500 as of 2008. It is also by area the largest of the islands, with an official measurement of 182.7 square kilometers.

what a great special harbor for creative individualists – all the boats seem to communicate both the taste and personality of their owners! and they all lie peacefully side by side: plain, orderly white getting along beautifully with both its neighbors, the whimsical and capricious one to the left (that wallpaper inside!) and the more stubborn and edgy-looking to the right, with its iron toothed rim and the strange little hedgehog THING sitting on its bows – perfect harbor harmony… ; )) hugs, sabine.DRAGA PUC 19/03/2011 7:51
