Back Alley Blues (5)

Downtown and many areas in the older part of Vancouver have back alleys running behind the houses. Here are the garages, the power and telephone lines, here is the garbage pick-up and the delivery of goods for the stores, here the kids can play away from big traffic. I find these alleys a never-ending opportunity to shoot pictures - will show you a few in the next couple of days.
This alley is behind a commercial building - and just two blocks south of Science World and False Creek - still it has a fire escape for every floor.

Es ist sehr interessant, auch die Hinterhöfe und Hintergassen einer großen Stadt mal zu sehen. Gute Aufnahme.

Wie verschieden doch die Hinterhöfe aussehen.
Dieser Anblick ist mir aus vielen amerikanischen Filmen oder Krimiserien bekannt.

So trist es aussieht, die Farbe der Ziegelwand und der Container sind ein schöner Kontrast! Die Gegend hat einen gewissen Charme!

pink and blue – i like that combination ; )! apparently someone else did, too: i can spot a lonely little pink tag on the first dumpster from the right – a try at "tagging tastefully" and not meddle with the original "back-alley design" ; )))? nah… another great "vancouver impression", adele! i like the fire escapes – they make me imagine all kinds scenes from action movies or comedies, in which "hurried floor changes" are an issue… hugs, sabine.

Für einen Hinterhof ganz schön bunt!!! Und ich finde auch, dass es rund um diese Container auch ganz schön proper ist! Lediglich die Feuerleitern sind (für mich) nicht ganz so vertrauenswürdig - aber sicher tue ich ihnen unrecht!
