Passage to Cape Horn - we are almost there

After a night's sailing from Ushuaia and early in the morning we have almost arrived at Cape Horn. It was very windy - and a bit rough, but the sky promised a beautiful day.

Hallo Adele,
hier hast du aber kein schönes Wetter am Cape Horn. Aber ich glaube da ist die See nicht oft ruhig.
Aber das Foto finde ich gut, eine tolle Stimmung hast du hier eingefangen.

Solange hier noch Schiffe fahren, ist das Meer wohl eher ruhig zu nennen, wie mögen sich die ersten Seefahrer in diesen beunruhigenden Regionen gefühlt haben?

Looks really quiet for this area. Never was there, but whenever seeing Cape Horn in a film it always looked VERY rough and dangerous.
