I found dead leaves at the bottom of a tree where the snow had melted. I then used them for my foreground and chose a yellow one to mimic the color of the sky. I dont usually do that but on that specific day and that specific place I just couldnt find that element to make this shot come alive so I had to improvise.....Please Visit my personal website www.DiFrusciaPhotography.com and TimeCatcher.com to view work from a team of passionate photographers from around the world.

definitly going into my favs !
Those leaves really give a perfect balance to the color of the sky. And a nice contrast with the soft blue. Great wide angle perspective too.
Your websites are in my bookmarks from the day you appeared at fc, so don't worry, big brother is watching you :-))

As usual Pat, a wonderful image .. the expanse of snow is wonderfully broken up and tied in with the sky using the leaves so well. Great colours .. Regards, Paul.
i think all round this is a brilliant peice of photography in every way !
love the composition and colours, this photographer is amazing and this should be in the gallery NO DOUBT !
At first I only saw the top third of the picture and thought "Oh great, another dull sunset picture to vote contra on. Then I scrolled down, the picture was uploaded too large to be seen at one time. Had to scroll up and down a few times to take it all in and put it together. Nice idea with the leaves, makes the shot.
