The Middle Ages (104) : The Devil

This series is an attempt to illustrate how life was going on in the Middle Ages.

In those dark times, there was a strong belief in the devil, also known as Satan.

It was generally thought that the devil was a real, living power, a tangible personality, a supernatural entity that was the personification of evil and the enemy of God and humankind.

Millions of people were afraid of him, abetted by the church.
