Golden Scalycap is a beautifully coloured fungus.
With its typical large spot-like scales, it’s an attractive appearance in the autumn forest.

This species, sticky or slimy when moist, grows on both living and dead trees.

Dutch name : Goudvliesbundelzwam
German name : Goldfell-Schüppling
Latin name : Pholiota aurivella

with the beautiful and intense autumn glow falling upon them, they remind me of a loaf of freshly baked bread… beautifully captured, as always, mark! greetings, sabine. p.s.: about that bread association: over here they sell a certain kind of bagel that has leopard-like spots on its crust. maybe that's why… ; ) weirdly enough, by the way, it's called "tigerbrötchen"! ; ))
