The Living Forest (329) : Red Squirrel
While sitting on a fallen tree trunk in the forest and enjoying a picnic, I saw this red squirrel suddenly climbing up a tree in the far distance before me.
It was a shy animal but damned fast, very active and never sat quiet for more then half a second.
It took me a lot of effort to shoot this little fellow.

German name : Eichhörnchen
Latin name : Sciurus vulgaris

I have yet to get a good squirrel photo as they always seem to be moving quickly or up in the trees. Nice shot!Regards,
