The Living Forest (235) : Greater Stitchwort
Here’s a closer and more detailed look on the Greater Stitchwort whose flowers are growing on the forest floor in small carpets at this moment (see my yesterday picture below).
Greater Stitchwort is a beautiful and pretty flower appearing in woodland in springtime.
Its name originates from its ancient herbal use of alleviating a "stitch" in the side.
Dutch name : Grote Muur
German name : Grosse Sternmiere
Latin name : Stellaria holostea
