The Living Forest (140) : Whitebeam
Those few scarlet berries of this Whitebeam tree are probably one of the last present in the forest at this time of the year.
Whitebeam berries are generally less palatable (drier, little juicy) than most other wild berries.
Birds do eat them, but only at the end of winter when most other food has been consumed
