The Fungi world (15) : Giant polypore
This is a huge fungus that appears in large clusters of rosettes on stumps or near the bases of trees.
It consists of numerous flattened fan-shaped caps that can be half a metre wide.
Dutch name : Reuzenzwam
German name : Riesenporling
Latin name : Meripilus giganteus
