Around the Fire

A group of Sadhus (Sages) are burning the logs to get some heat in the chiliing cold at the sea shore, where they came to take a holy dip in the wee hour of early morning. They maintain a simple life and refrain from materialistic pleasure as part of their resolute devotion and meditation practices.

In winter, every year million of people from different parts of India gather together at the Religious Congregation of 'Sagar Mela' (Fair at Sea shore) in Bengal . People take a holy dip in the sea on a particular day. It is believed that the act will help them get rid of their sin and move towards salvation with the blessings of God.
