BIENVENUE À LE THÉÂTRE FENICE, VENISE

LA FENICE est un opéra construit à Venise au XVIIIe siècle dans le style néo-classique avec une salle proposant cinq étages superposés de loges finement décorées en rouge et or.
Il est, avec la Scala de Milan et le Teatro San Carlo de Naples, l'un des temples les plus prestigieux de l'opéra italien. La Fenice a vu la création des plus beaux opéras de Verdi, Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti...
Le théâtre a été mondialement consacré grâce au film de Luchino Visconti, Senso, dont la première scène se trouve dans le décor réel de la Fenice : il s'agit alors d'un opéra de Verdi, Le Trouvère.

Teatro LA FENICE is THE OPERA HOUSE IN VENICE. It is one of the most famous theatres in Europe, the site of many famous operatic premieres. Its name reflects its role in permitting an opera company to "rise from the ashes" despite losing the use of two theatres (to fire and legal problems respectively). Since opening and being named La Fenice, it has burned and been rebuilt twice more !!
