hamburg, jungfernstieg, november 2011: cropped off the lower edge, where an annoying piece of traffic-light was in the way. switched it to b/w, lightened it a little, enhanced contrasts, lost some details on my favorite gull and… went back to the unedited „novemberish“ original! ; ))

Ich mag Deine Möwen total gerne ! Wenn Du die erlaubte Uploadgröße gewählt hättest, hätte evtl. sogar der Flügel rechts noch ganz mit draufgepasst :-)))

als süddeutsche landratte komme ich eher selten in den genuß eines solch °anmutigen° reigens...eine kleine choreographie mit aufgefächerten aufgespreizten flügeln ...gemäß der aerodynamik:-)..und den filigranen füssen in strikter parallelführung......für mich der kleine schmunzler :-)

*reigen =germanisch = mit konnotation "anmutiger" rundtanz , von jungen maiden ~~~~~

sehr passend für deinen möwenflug:-) !

Aber Du könntest das Bild doch darunter verlinken, wenn Du uns beide Versionen zeigen möchtest. ...
Sie haben etwas entdeckt, da hat jemand ein Stück Brot weggeschmissen und wie auf ein Kommando sind alle gleichzeitig aufgeflogen, das Wettfliegen beginnt, wer ist als erster dort und wer ergattert das Brot? teilen gibt es nicht, sie gönnen sich gegenseitig nix :-) mir gefällt das Bild sehr, Sabine, die unscharfen angeschnittenen Flügeln machen es spannend, das Novembergrau passt.

Ich finde die verlinkte Version noch besser, so viel Zeichnung geht nicht verloren und so kontrastreich wirkt es noch klarer.

How elegant their dance in the sky - excellent capture of this fine scene. I prefer this original version for its poetic feel .... but of course the black and white image is splendid too !!!

It's a wonder they don't bump into each other more often! When they are in a big group all fighting for something tasty you think there would be more wings getting tangled! I like this one better with the gloomy sky. My favourite bit of the picture is their little legs dangling behind them! ;))

Da bin ich mir uneins. Zum einen strahlt die editierte Version mehr Klarheit und Leuchtkraft aus. Angesichts des Titels tendiere ich wiederum mehr zu der etwas vergrauten Version, die das Triste dieser Tage deutlicher vermittelt. Vielleicht wäre eine leicht kontrastreichere Variante schon das Optimum zwischen den beiden Bildern.
Wie auch immer der Titel passt ausgezeichnet.

To help you, I may say that the edited version has more strength
Than the edited one. I'm more a fan of using the whole contrast
Range instead of a grey medium band. The compo is very good,
Especially the inclusion of the dynamic blurr. Fine work!

Sabine - I like this version. This is a very well executed image capturing the birds in something like a game of tag. I like the open space in the middle of the group of birds.

I've found that birds in frenzied flight and fight for food are very difficult to photograph. You did great here.
