to me this is a study of how the human limbs, ligaments, tendons, muscles and other body parts work! and a the same time a great study about how a seemingly light and ethereal thing like smoke "behaves". i like how there seem to be two "parties" in this shot: i immediately see how the smoke is not inanimate at all but very much alive, snaking across her face in search for a "kindred substance" ; )) and finding her hair, arched eyebrows and the tatoo on her arm, just as her beautiful slender fingers seem to have literally "bonded" and "identified" with the slender "body" of the cigarette! a great portrait – "flowingly beautiful"! greetings, sabine.Paulo Pereira, 27.09.2010 at 16:23h

Excellent portrait!! Lightly closed eyes, half opened lips, taut fingers like columns holding the "jewel" of a nasty habit... As a smoker myself, I get the feeling of pleasure in this shot!If I were you, I would rather move the frame up so I could see all the hair and more rising smoke and crop all the tattoo out, giving emphasis on the wrist and back. Note that I have very little used a medium format camera... Great work for both photographer and model.
