Il lago Inle è il più grande della Birmania…rappresenta anche uno dei luoghi più belli.
Vi proliferano giacinti d’acqua, ben visibili nella foto, molto infestanti.
Non è difficile imbattersi in uomini o donne che, su piccole imbarcazioni stracariche, drenano il lago ripulendolo in parte da questi vegetali

Lo scorso mese mi è stato chiesto a quando risalgono queste foto, apparentemente provenienti da un mondo senza tempo….sono state scattate nel 2006 ….impressionanti gli avvenimenti successivi, la pesante alluvione dell’estate 2007, praticamente ignorata in occidente, le manifestazione dei monaci, sedate col sangue a fine 2007 ed il disastroso ciclone del 2008 con migliaia di morti.
