View of Aegean Sea at sunset from the heights of Oia. The bay is the famous "Kaldera".
The island oposite is Therasia.
In the photo a friend's house, one of the..priviledged to have a house oposite to Kaldera..

…color and light! the latter succeeding in making the white gate of the estate look so inviting, animated and friendly: i see two beady eyes looking at the lens and a big mouth… sunny side of life indeed – yes, definitely privileged! what i like best about this image, though, is the magical colors and mood of the ocean and sky: so calm and wistful and enchanted looking; the water coming in shades of saphire and gold, the small metallic rock near the upper left corner of the shot: like the gleaming back of a leviathan… in fact, if this were ithaca rather than santorini, and if faithful argos were a whale rather than a dog, this would be exactly the spot, the entrance to the bay, where he'd be lying to wait for his master's happy return!* ; )) beautiful capture of an amazingly idyllic place by the sea! greetings, sabine.

Ohhh - I like this a lot .... the composition is fabulous as is the late light and the warm colours and reflections on the water ... so fantastic for your friend to live here, such a view and peaceful ambience !!!

woww...Alexander, I feel honoured and I love this series in colour...It is so much more inviting and friendly...
a little paradise which I will visit one day...
Where the good b/w images sometimes are a little sad ..here you feel you want to be there and be happy....
I like the almost tender feel about it..
