The Living Forest (343) : Himalayan Balsam
This rapidly growing plant with its elegant hooded-shaped flowers is native to the Himalaya.
It was introduced to European gardens from the Himalayas around 1839 and since then has become widely naturalised in different parts of the world.
Himalayan Balsam has a spectacular high rate of nectar production !

German name : Drüsiges Springkraut
Latin name : Impatiens glandulifera

Das Drüsige Springkraut ist nicht arg beliebt, da es als eine Bedrohung für andere Pflanzenarten angesehen wird.Deine Aufnahme ist wunderschön. Tolle Farben, Schärfe und Präsentation. Der dunkle Hintergrund lässt die Blüte richtig leuchten!!
