Excellent picture of a station not much in similarity with an old Walter Scott coach inn station but greatly impressing with it's majestic roof.

Diagonal lines add dynamism to the image.

excellent details of this elaborate roof structure and view through the glass of the background buildings .... superb composition taking advantage of the infalling light creating all those great shadow patterns ...
    Sunday greetings, Adele

....all I can say is wow, what a roof, well captured in these monochrome tones, I am pretty sure we went here when we visited....

LG! a.

what a roof!! it's obviously built to impress, thus turning the people waiting below into mere staffage, especially, when the sun's out and in high spirits, ready to accept the invitation to send down his rays to play! ; ) expertly captured, as always, lawson! i like the vaguely philosophical idea of the train station as a transitory place, a place that, ideally speaking ; )), one only spends a short amount of time in, not settling down but rather passing through as "transit passengers": here today and gone tomorrow; hence the incompleteness of the banner: "it was nice to meet you, town, but now that i'm standing at my compartment window, with the train gradually pulling out the station, i soon will be on the proverbial road again. see ya, waverl…" ; ) greetings, sabine.
