The Fungi World (266) : Coprinellus impatiens

December, late autumn. It’s getting gradually darker and colder in the forest, but there are still fungi growing there.
The party ain’t over yet ! :-))

***

Coprinellus impatiens is a rather rare fungus with narrow grooves reaching almost as far as the middle of the cap with a lovely cinnamon coloured center.

This species (again without English name) likes to grow on forest litter in dark deciduous forests, especially those dominated by beech.

Dutch name : Spitscellige donsinktzwam
German name : Graublättriger Tintling
Latin name : Coprinellus impatiens (prev. Coprinus impatiens)
