Swamp of ice and snow (5)
During the past month of january, we had 1 week of real cold winter in Belgium with lots of snow and freezing temperatures down to -15°C in the southeastern part of the land.
I was there, enjoyed the winter and took some shots of course.
'Hohes Venn' is the greatest and oldest National Park of Belgium and the most unique nature biotope in the land (altitude: 694 meters above sea level) with a sub-alpine micro climate.
Under the great mass of snow lies a whole area of vast and desolate swamps.
10 minutes before I made this shot, a thick fog layer hung over the landscape.
Suddenly the sky broke open with dazzling cloud formations as result.

Landscape and sky are obviously not building a plausible unit! It seems to be also that the sky is later beeing added. But the Hautes Fagnes is so nice for itself . . . it is not necessary to do like that! I beg your pardon, but more natural would be better . . . from my point of view!Best regards

Magnifique série sur les Hautes Fagnes qui a fait le bonheur des promeneurs et des skieurs !J'aime beaucoup celle-ci pour son format, cadrage et le vent qui souffle et qui laisse des traces !
