Ieud, Maramures, Romania - There are nearly 100 wooden churches in Maramures, eight of them UNESCO World Heritage Sites. THE PLES MUSEUM - The museum is set in a former peasant homestead in two wooden houses more than 200 years old. Visitors can see here traditional clothing and costumes, various utensils and tools used in this ethnographic area and can find out more about local crafts and customs.
