This is one of the most famous street corners in San Franscisco, California. It's where the "Hippie Movement" of the 1960's began.
This is a self-portrait of me standing on this corner.

That street looks familiar Ray, was it used in the famous car chase sequence in "Bullet" with Steve Mcqueen? Great shot.

Thanks for the comment, John.
It's been quite awhile since I last saw "Bullet", so I really can't say if the car chase took place on this street.

Great shot Ray. Where is it all now?

Ray Steinberg, 30.12.2006 at 5:31h

@Heinz: Most of the "Hippies" of the 1960's, that protested, and were AGAINST the establishment, took a 180 degree turn-around, and became "Yuppies" in the 1980's, and from then on, most BECAME the establishment, that years before they were so against.
IMO, the whole "Hippie" movement was a failure,
because the Yuppies' values of today, aren't worth two cents, and their brains have less functionality, than an asshole.

It is also the town with the most steep hills in the USA.

As the song says:

"If you go to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair"....;-)
