The Lighthouse

at Porlier Pass

the speed of the current through Porlier Pass can reach 9 knots - our sailboat does a bit over 5 knots at the most, and we have to time our passing through here at slack water .... then it is about 30 km across the Salish Sea (Georgia Strait) to Vancouver which we made in a bit more than 6 hours with heavy seas and a strong wind ...

Hier wirkt das Meer eher ruhig und friedlich... Herrliche Farben und ein wundervoller blick über den Leuchtturm bis hin zu den schneebedeckten Bergen!
