the ancient ones were in the honor of zeus. today's are in the honor of… mammon and digital technology! or so it seems… ; ) i wonder what billboard the venerable walls of your attached olympia may have held when the ancient olympics were on? the greek were amazing innovators, inventors, scientists! so maybe analog computers, if ever so cumbersome, were THE crowd-pleaser of the time! in fact, the billboard might have said: "antikythera* – get it and fathom the stars!" ; )) no laptop material, though, i'm afraid – ouch! thighs smushed… ; )) hugs, sabine. p.s.: pink magnolias – my favorite kind!----------------------------------------------------------------------------
