Terrific scene, Adele, with your husband seemingly,not enjoying the view from up there but worrying how he would come down!..A pretty much Orson Welles setting!

The conposition is really strong here, and the feel of it is very cinematic. That tall figure up there (your brave husband) is a point of surprise, so to speak, and increases the tension.

i couldn't agree more with leonid on the "film-noir feel"! in fact, he said it all. i have only just a few silly little morsels to add: the light is just spectacular, and so are the clouds – drama in the air, yes! and you know what: the little un-manned lighthouse seems to be saluting to your husband (that thing on the left being the arm!), which makes my risible northern self dig up the famous otto-von-bismarck punch caricature: "dropping the pilot"/"der lotse geht von bord"*. oh, and a little caspar david friedrich is in it, too!** ; ))) hugs, sabine.
p.s.: love the double meaning of the title!
