Der Wasserbehälter in Eiform wurde 1904 gebaut, weil die Dampferzeugung z.T. gefährlich war mit schwankenden Wasserdruck und den damals vorhandenen unzureichenden Regelgliedern.
Auf einer Anhöhe und zusätzlich mit 60m Höhe hatte dieses Ei den Wasserdruck im Griff.
Ich verzichte bewusst auf das Panoramabild, da es schon 1000fach hier und woanders auftaucht.
Hier geht es um den Technikaspekt, u.a. der Nieten.
