It's not easy to capture a Kingfisher, as these little birdies are fast as the devil.

"kingfishers catch fire," as gerald manly hopkins said in his famous peom! i've seen them only once or twice near a creek and dashing by like magical arrows… and yet i know i will never ever manage a shot of them, but you did! he looks almost cute, perched so nicely on his little pole – all beak and compressed body ; ))! and WOW, what a turquoise!! the brightness and soft metallic shine simply takes one's breath away! greetings, sabine.
