Die Dorfkirche "Senhora da Luz" liegt etwas erhöht oberhalb der Uferpromenade des kleinen Algarve - Örtchens Luz. Sie wurde 1874 errichtet, ihren schlichten weißgekalkter Innenraum schmückt ein Altar aus "talha dourada", d.h. mit Blattgold überzogenen Holzschnitzereien.

Frontal und klar. Farblich bestechend. Die Architektur drängt sich dem Fotografen auf, da sie für uns Mitteleuropäer ungewohnt ist.
