London in den Achtzigern. Mit meiner manuellen Pentax MX, zwei Zoom-Objektiven und einem Monster von einem Stativ fahre/laufe ich kreuz und quer durch London, meine zweite Heimat. Im Bus treffe ich diesen älteren Herrn. Er fährt zum Derby (sprich: Daarby), also zum Pferderennen, und zwar wie jedes Jahr seit 50 Jahren. Zweifellos ein Experte. Ich schließe mich ihm an und wir haben an diesem Tag viel Spaß. Pferde? Gabs auch.
