Wow -- wieso ist denn der Fluss selbst oberhalb des Wasserfalls so weißlich? LG, Paul

Hallo Paul,

der Fluss ist so weiß, da er ein Gletscherfluss ist. Auch immer leicht abzulesen an der Namensgebung "Hvítá" (wörtlich "weißer Fluss"). Die Farbe kommt von der großen Menge mitgeführter Partikel.

Hi Pit, danke für die Erklärung. Bei manch anderem Foto wirkt derselbe Fluss jedoch weniger Weiss. Hat vielleicht ja auch mit dem Wasserstand zu tun... LG, Paul
