Berlin Congress Hall

The former Congress Hall, designed by American architect Hugh Stubbins. Until today its one of the most interesting buildings of Berlin.
The citizens of Berlin like to give nicknames, so the Congress Hall was not spared: its called the "pregnant oyster".

Die "Schwangere Auster", in der wir damals große Bälle gefeiert haben. Ich wohnte ganz in der Nähe und bin oft dort gewesen, weil das damals ganz moderne und architekt. interessante Gebäude, in der John-Foster-Dulles-Allee, sehr reizvoll war.
Danke für dieses schöne Bild, was so viele Erinnerungen in mir weckt.

ist gerade auch zur Blauen Stunde ein beliebtes Fotomotiv.

sieht wirklich spektakulär und großartig aus – sozusagen regelrecht "hauptstadtrelevant"! ; ))) schwangere auster hin oder her, zusammen mit dem der eisernen skulptur hat "das arrangement" irgendwie auch etwas "akustisches" an sich – ich sehe ohren und… einen schlafenden halbmond (im wasser)! lg, sabine.
