One of the most scenic and spectacular line of the former 'Rio Grande' railroad is the Chama - Antonito section, crossing the Cumbres Pass at more than 3000m altitude. Luckily, this line was kept as a museum operation after the last commercial train run in 1968.
This is K36 484 with a chartered freight train on its way to the Pass at Lobato siding, as it was 50 years ago.
