Die Sumpf-Stendelwurz (Epipactis palustris), die auch als Weiße Sumpfwurz, Echte Sumpfwurz oder Sumpf-Sitter bekannt ist, ist eine Art aus der Gattung der Stendelwurzen (Epipactis) aus der Familie der Orchideengewächse (Orchidaceae). Die Namen nehmen Bezug auf die von dieser Art bevorzugten feuchten Standorte. Die Pflanze erreicht 30 bis 50cm Höhe in Ausnahmefällen auch mal 80cm und blüht von Juni bis August.
Am Nordufer des Weißensees (bei Füssen im Allgäu) konnte ich hunderte Exemplare "entdecken".
